Has said that in the past governments have been treating South Punjab like a stepmother but the present government under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan has been giving priority to measures for public development and prosperity in South Punjab. The problems of the people will also be solved at their doorsteps through the new local government system. I will inaugurate 20 more projects of Punjab AAB PAK Authority for South Punjab today (Wednesday). Social activist Jalaluddin Rumi was addressing a function held in his honor at his residence and talking to media. Chairman Punjab Water Pak Authority Dr. Shakeel Ahmed and others were also present on the occasion.
Governor of Punjab Chaudhary Muhammad Sarwar said that the main cause of issues like inflation and unemployment in the country is the result of failed policies of previous governments In addition to providing basic facilities like education, they are also providing relief through projects like Ehsas program and inshallah the relief to the people will increase with each passing day. But the issues of South Punjab have always been increasing instead of decreasing, but the government of independent justice has kept special focus on the development of South Punjab. He said that Kisan Card was also a gift of the government to the farmers and for the first time in Punjab, work was being done on equal development in the entire province and there was no doubt that the four provinces must be strong for the strengthening of the federation. He said that the strength of the federation is the priority of a just government.
Governor of Punjab Chaudhary Muhammad Sarwar said that more than 200 projects of Punjab Water Supply Authority are already being expedited for providing safe drinking water to the people of South Punjab. These projects will be completed by March 2022 and today twenty more projects opening, He said that insha-Allah the people of South Punjab would be provided clean drinking water in cities and villages without any political distinction. The powers of the local government system are being devolved to the people. He said that the new local government system would not only further strengthen democracy but also help in solving the problems of the people at their doorsteps.
